Adam Day Announced as Rovers USL-2 Head Coach

After assisting the men's team in 2019, Adam Day steps in to lead the Rovers for 2020

February 24, 2020

TSS Rovers is pleased to announce that Adam Day will be the Lead Instructor/Head Coach of our USL League Two team for the 2020 season. Adam is taking on this role after being part of the staff for the group in 2019.

We are very excited to have Adam on board in this lead role for the coming season,” says Colin Elmes Co-owner and Technical Director. “His CV speaks for itself. He has a wealth of experience in our local industry and understands and embraces our philosophy. His knowledge of the player base is exceptional through his past roles with the Vancouver Whitecaps Residency and in the BCSPL. We look forward to supporting him as the season begins to unfold”.

"I am delighted to be back with the TSS Rovers for the USL 2 campaign this year," says Day.  "I had a very positive experience being around the club a little last year and to be asked to take the reins this season was an easy decision. I am excited at being given the opportunity to lead the group and I know the Pacific NW is always one of, if not the most, challenging divisions in America and Canada. That competitive edge is engrained from the MLS down to the USL and subsequent youth leagues. It's a great opportunity for me personally to test myself as the Head Coach this time around. I look forward to getting the squad finalized and working with the players on the pitch and then hopefully giving the supporters the entertainment and effort they come to see. Thank you to Colin and Brendan for giving me this opportunity and the objective remains the same - we want to expose players to a high performance environment where they can push into professional football. If I can help do that, it is only going to improve the footballing infrastructure of the country as we continue to grow ."

The Rovers men start training in late March in preparation for the 2020 season. The home opener takes place on Sunday, May 10 at Swangard Stadium in Burnaby.
